The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) / POSH Committee of S.N. Sen B.V.P.G. College, Kanpur, works to ensure a safe, dignified, and harassment-free workplace for women. The Committee addresses sexual harassment complaints in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and applicable institutional guidelines.
Objectives
- To prevent and prohibit sexual harassment at the workplace.
- To provide a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
- To create awareness about the rights and responsibilities of employees and students.
- To provide an accessible mechanism for receiving and addressing complaints.
- To ensure fair, sensitive, and confidential handling of complaints.
Key Activities
- Conducting awareness and sensitisation programs.
- Promoting awareness of POSH provisions and preventive measures.
- Receiving and addressing complaints through the prescribed procedure.
- Providing appropriate guidance and support to complainants.
- Maintaining confidentiality throughout the complaint process.
- Recommending appropriate action in accordance with applicable rules.
